CIFFFILM FEAST
A Winter's Tale

Wednesday, January 14,  7pm
Hosts: Roy Turnell and Joe Arezone

Oh, those winter months. We all need help finding new ways to stay entertained — at least until March when the Film Festival rolls around! That's why we've asked Sari Feldman, Executive Director of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, and Clint O'Connor, Film Critic for The Plain Dealer, to join us for a night of book and film talk. We'll meet at Loganberry Books where these two experts will talk about their favorite winter reads coupled with their favorite winter flicks. We'll also have Gene's Jazz Hot on-hand to perform and help melt away those winter blues!  Wine, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts will be served.  $50 per guest

AHA!  At Home with the Arts
Shaker Arts Council
Friday, February 20, 6pm

Loganberry is pleased to host the Shaker Arts Council At Home with the Arts series again.  This special performance features William Clarence Marshall and his impressive operatic voice.  He's performed on Broadway and regional stages, and is always a masterful force to hear.  Be sure to catch this special opportunity to hear him perform in his own hometown.  $30 Admission to support SHAC.

CWRUFiction Reading
CWRU Friends of English
Saturday, April 18, 3:30-5:30pm

There are approximately 900 alumni of the CWRU Department of English living within 30 miles of Cleveland.  So, the Department decided to throw a party and invite their alum to a meet-and-greet-and read.  Featured authors will read from their works, including Thrity Umrigar, Shelley Costa, Sean Santa, Gina Ventre, Mary Grimm, and the list is growing.  You don't have to be an alum to tune in, just come to Loganberry and help celebrate this impressive cast of graduates and professors from Case Western Reserve University.

Austeniana Club
~ fourth Thursdays, 7pm ~
The Austen book club has already worked through the six novels by Jane Austen, but is now working on spin-offs, inspirations and posthumously published works by Austen, including the Fitzwilliam Darcy trilogy and Lady Susan.  Interested in talking Austen?  Join us.  Look at the Monthly Calendar to see the schedule.

Praise the Unsung Book Club
~ fourth Thursdays, 7pm ~
Are you a fan of an old novel no one else has read?  A evangelist for an unsung hero or heroine?  A collector of secrets in the library of gems and forgotten tales of wonder?  ... or perhpas you would like to be?  Come join us as we uncover excellent reads that aren't on today's best seller list.  Local author and Loganberry extraordinaire Sarah Willis kicks off a new book club to discover unchartered territory.  We'll start with the cult favorite 84 Charing Cross Road and spin off from there.  Look at the Monthly Calendar to see the schedule.

Writing on Your Feet with Sarah Morton
Mondays, January 19, 26, and February 2; 6:30-9:30pm  --cancelled--
This 3-session intensive workshop will introduce you to alternative ways of creating solo performance work. We will move through a series of physical and improvisational exercises to spark ideas for stories and characters, and then explore ways to ‘get it down’ on paper and shape your discoveries into dynamic, theatrical monologues.  All levels of experience are welcome!  Tuition.  Enrollment is limited.
